Hallo! Beleive it or not I have, along last, got into the site. Thankyou Leofwine for sorting the problem out..
I am really a 'Whitstable Native' but I spent most of the war years living at East Court and at least one branch of ancestors has been in the Medway region since 1541, many of the later ones living in and around Brompton. Since my marriage, many years ago I came to live across the Thames from where I can at night see the lights of Brompton!
